Meet Location

horizon-convention-centerThe Horizon Convention Center is an innovative mix of historic beauty and modern design.

Formerly Muncie’s Federal Building, the Horizon Convention Center’s beauty is evident in the glass-enclosed pavilion, outdoor terrace and the classical splendor of the lobby’s original interior. A 1996 expansion increased the facility’s meeting space to 47,000 square feet.

The Horizon Convention Center also boasts the second largest children’s museum in the state and is proximate to the newly rejuvenated downtown area, which offers a variety of restaurants, entertainment and shopping. These are just a few of the amenities that the city offers in the way of leisure time activities for delegates and their families.

You’ll find hotel accommodations in Muncie with room rates that are among the lowest of Indiana’s larger cities. You will be pleasantly surprised how far your dollar will take you in Muncie. Horizon Convention Center will assist in getting your people from the hotels to our center for the entirety of your event.

Visitors will enjoy Muncie’s “block party” ambience – thanks to a concentration of museums, galleries, restaurants and nightspots, all within walking distance of the convention center.

The city of Muncie is also home to the 955 acre campus of Ball State University. Some notable alumni from the state’s third largest campus are: Jim Davis, creator of the comic strip, Garfield, and “Late Night’s,” David Letterman.

Muncie is a half-day’s drive from 60 percent of the nation’s population. A convenient distance from most Indiana cities and less than an hour’s drive from Indianapolis, you’ll find Muncie just off of Interstate 69.
